J and L's Destination Wedding (Destin Beach, FL)

Due to our location, we work with a lot of clients that we don’t get to meet until the day of their wedding. We talk on the phone, text, email, and even Skype, so that they know we are there for them and to make sure we capture their day the way they imagined. J and L were one of those couples.

(Quick side note: If you are local, or visiting, please see us about meeting up! I am always looking for reasons to go to Starbucks. ;) )

We met just a hour before our schedule start time, but due to all the work we put in before, we clicked easily and was able to capture their wedding! It is always such an honor to help preserve such precious memories.

Miss V

Some clients are just fun and easy-going, and that is how I would describe V. Clearly, a confident woman who embraces herself.

I always say boudoir is what you make it, and that every woman gets to choose what that term means to her. V went with hot, spicy, and provocative. I know that isn’t one word, but MOST sessions can’t be summed up in a single definition anyways.

Boudoir, just like the woman who participate it, is multifaceted.

O & J Wedding (Destin Beach Wedding)

O & J Wedding (Destin Beach Wedding)

I am FINALLY getting around to writing about this wonderful couple. O and J are just great people, and even though we didn't get to meet in person before their intimate beach wedding, there was an immediate camaraderie.

The love between O and J was radiant, and their son was almost as excited for the wedding as they were!

It was cold, windy, and about to be stormy, day, but beyond perfect during their precious ceremony.

Ms. M (Pensacola Boudoir Session)

Ms. M (Pensacola Boudoir Session)

There are about a billion opinions (rough estimate) about what makes a person beautiful. Eyes, mouth, legs, etc. What I find, though, when you really speak to people, it's about the confidence. Every woman is beautiful in their own way and style, but it's confidence that makes it truly show.

In this case, not only is Ms. H GORGEOUS, but her confidence magnified it.

Ms. H (Classic Boudoir Session)

Ms. H (Classic Boudoir Session)

Ms. H killed this session with classic touches and confidence.

Every woman is different, all awesome in our own way. Ms. H was the type of awesome that saw the camera and then challenged it with her sophistication. Truly, an elegant client!

P and J Wedding! (Pensacola Yacht Club Wedding)

P and J Wedding! (Pensacola Yacht Club Wedding)

This couple is one of my favorites. (I feel like I say that a lot, but it is true!) They were just so happy to celebrate their love.

It started out with those special moments with friends and families, then a precious ceremony. Their reception was filled with laughter, dancing, and (of course) football.

I can't express how honored I was to be part of their wedding.

V and D Wedding! (Destin Yacht Wedding)

V and D Wedding! (Destin Yacht Wedding)

Every wedding is beautiful and unique, and I always feel blessed to be a part of the BIG day. That said, this one was extra special! The couple chose the most beautiful location. RIGHT. ON. THE. WATER. Sailing was smooth as we glided over the bay, though even the scenery was put to shame by the connection and love this husband and wife share.

The K Family (Extended Family)

The K Family (Extended Family)

I love photographing extended families. They are always such a blast. You get to see people interact in a special way. You get to hear silly stories and experience the bonds they share. There are very few things that are so special in this world as family. I am always honored when I get to document that for people. For a brief moment, I am one with them, and those memories caught in my camera become lasting heirlooms.

10 Year Anniversary Boudoir Session

10 Year Anniversary Boudoir Session

Love is a beautiful thing, and it is even more beautiful when it is of a woman who has enjoyed that love for a decade. L wanted to give her husband a special gift, something that was personal and beautiful.

The session went perfectly, with make up and hair by Ashley West, and then a fun session with a variety of looks.

The most impressive part? She could wear lingerie from her wedding night. (I know that we are ALL jealous now.)

In the end, though, the most important part was celebrating her beauty and their love.

A & A's Fort Pickens Portraits and Pensacola Wedding!

A & A's Fort Pickens Portraits and Pensacola Wedding!

Sometimes, it just feels like things are meant to happen. When I got contacted by the Bride, it was clear this was one of those meant to be situations. The wedding was only a few weeks out, but the day had just opened up and even my associate photographer was available. Plus, and most importantly, this couple was just the sweetest.

In person, they were even more wonderful. Kind, generous, and clearly devoted to each other. They glowed with love for each other. It was a beautiful day.

J and P

J and P

This couple is just the sweetest! In love, funny, and both very smart. Meeting up with them was a pleasure, and since I have known J for a few years, also a blast.

They decided to do something different for their engagement portraits. A playful, less posed, more candid session at the Naval Aviation Museum.Plus, some family ones too.

t's a cool place, and there was a lot to see!

Sisters in Destin

Sisters in Destin

This ladies were so much fun! We had to photograph during the not so awesome mid-morning hours, but at least Destin Beach was beautiful. They took the bright sun and heat in stride, and even managed to keep their eyes open! (That's what I call dedication.)

The sisters had vacationed in the area when they were kids, and decided the perfect gift for their parents and grandparents were portraits of them on the same white sands that so many family memories had taken place.

It was so great helping them recreate those experiences!

D's Boudoir Session

D's Boudoir Session

D is a beautiful woman, and her soul is just awesome. We got to talk on the phone a bit before booking, and I could just tell she was someone I was going to like. When the HMUA (shorthand for hair and makeup artist, so I have saved no time now :) ) and I came over to her home for the session, she was so welcoming.

We started off with prepping and pampering her before the session.

This gives us time to chat, and for her to relax. Plus, who doesn't love getting their hair and makeup done?

After that, the magic began, and she did BEAUTIFULLY!

It was such a fun appointment, and Mrs. D was perfect.

The C Family at Navarre Beach

The C Family at Navarre Beach

Sometimes, you just meet people that you adore. That was what happened with the C Family. Even though I got to chat on the phone with the awesome matriarch, we didn't get to meet until right before the session at Navarre Beach. They were so warm and friendly, and then there was the precious little J-Man.

His smile is infectious!

They laughed, they joked, and they just love each other. Capturing their family was such a pleasure.

C & T's Beautiful Destin Wedding

C & T's Beautiful Destin Wedding

This wedding wasn't only fun, but GORGEOUS. Their wedding took place at the Emerald Grande in Destin, one of the most beautiful venues in the are. I got to take some of my favorite photos ever of this couple. So happy and so much in love. It was just beautiful.

Their wedding took place at the Emerald Grande in Destin.

They are the type of people that stick with you. They laughed, they cried, and they had a blast doing both.

When you see their love, you are seeing something that is timeless.

It was such an honor!

Extended Family Groups and Why You Should Hire Me (us)

Extended Family Groups and Why You Should Hire Me (us)

Extended family portraits are difficult. There are a ton of people, multiple families, and there is always someone running late. It's hard to know exactly what to expect since everyone has their own schedule, so getting everyone to the same place and in a good mood can seem impossible.

When it finally happens though, and all of you are together, ready to smile, your photographer is less than prepared than you expected. Maybe, they are alone and your group is just a bit rowdy (totally normal). Maybe, they aren't comfortable working with so many people. Large groups can be intimidating.

It can make a session that should also be a fantastic family memory go south quick.

Choosing someone like me (10 years experience this August), improves the chances of getting the portraits you want, and make it even a bit fun.

Now, to add to the experience (and ease), my associate photographer, Amanda, is available a few days a week to assist.  She'll help us to stay on task, be that person who reaches in and fixes something, and is prepared to help take breakdown portraits if need be.

Let us help you document your family.

Boudoir (Beauty) Event in Pensacola

Boudoir (Beauty) Event in Pensacola

This past January, I got the awesome privilege of hosting a boudoir event in Pensacola. We had 14 wonderful women attend. It was a amazing. Hair and make up, snacks, and beautiful portraits. Pretty much the perfect weekend.

Outside of how awesome each of these women were in front of camera, just straight up gorgeous, what really struck was how awesome they were. The stories they shared, the laughter, and the strength.

Everyone came in with their head held high (as best they could, it was raining) and shared a bit of themselves with us.

Every night, my associate photographer/assistant/person-who-keeps-me-sane, Amanda would bring up things I didn't hear because I was in a session and how that person shared something that was either empowering, emotional, or downright funny. Even all three.

All I can say to those women is thank you. Thank you for choosing us and trusting us. It was a blast and an honor.

N Family at Panama City Beach

N Family at Panama City Beach

This is one of my favorite sessions from last year. There was a few reasons why. They were not only great, despite the late hour and two precious littles, but they were real troopers about walking for over a MILE on soft, Florida sand.

If you have ever walked on the beautiful Emerald Coast, you know that our sand isn't hard, it gives. You sink and it is easy to get tired. They not only walked a mile, but trooped their precious daughters all the way out to the water. Despite that, they did beautifully and kept a positive attitude. Even while we walked back.

M Family at Navarre Beach

One of the greatest gifts that I get from being a photographer is meeting people from all over. Since I am blessed to be so close to the gorgeous Gulf Coast, I have gotten to photograph people from all over the world.

These clients drove across the country to see our white sand and emerald water. They were such a pleasure, and a grandparent makes the session extra special.

Despite being a sunrise (think before 6:00 AM) session, the kids were awesome and we had a blast!

S & D Pensacola Beach Wedding (Museum of Commerce too!)

S & D Pensacola Beach Wedding (Museum of Commerce too!)

I can't express how much I love this couple. They are just wonderful people whose love was inspiring in their engagement and then took my breath away during their wedding. A mix of devotion, laughter, and sheer joy is how I would describe their ceremony and reception.

It was gorgeous from our pristine white beaches with emerald water to the character and history of the Museum of Commerce. I had to be careful not to cry, because I needed to be able to see.

10/10 would photograph again!
